Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre

Mariko Kvaliashvili’s two-act musical performance “Tato” is dedicated to one of the most tragic and moving figures of Georgian culture—the poet Nikoloz Baratashvili. The performance allows the audience to closely experience the drama of Baratashvili’s life, his lyrical world, and his tragic fate. The musical and dramatic narrative presented on the stage of the Opera Theatre deeply impressed the audience.

The Foundation’s participation in this production underscores its mission—to support original Georgian creative works that, through a synthesis of classical heritage and contemporary forms, breathe new life into the most important figures of national culture. The Foundation contributes to the development of Georgian theatre and music and strengthens the country’s cultural identity.
